Top 3 Current 6’3″ NBA Players

Here are my picks of the three best 6’3″ players currently in the NBA (in order by last name):

  • De’Aaron Fox
  • CJ McCollum
  • Donovan Mitchell

Don’t agree? Let me know in the comments at the bottom of the post.

De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

De’Aaron Fox, is one of the best young point guards in the NBA. He is known for his lightning quick speed, and clutch shooting/scoring ability.

Fox is currently in his 7th NBA season (2017-present), all with the Sacramento Kings.

After a slightly less than ideal start to his career, Fox has shown great improvement every season. His scoring has gone from 11.6ppg to 25ppg, and his outside shooting has greatly improved.

Some of Fox’s other NBA achievements include: 1x All-Star, All-NBA Third Team, Clutch Player of the Year (2023).

Fox is currently just 26 years old, and entering the prime of his career. The Sacramento Kings are an up-and-coming team (featuring other star Domantas Sabonis), so we should be seeing much more of Fox over the next few seasons.

CJ McCollum, New Orleans Pelicans

CJ McCollum has been one of the most consistent scoring guards in the NBA over the past decade.

Despite not possessing superior athleticism, CJ is known for his unique ability to create his own shot, and score from anywhere on the floor (i.e. 3 point, mid range, or layups). He is probably one of the best players to never be named an NBA All Star (yet).

CJ is currently in his 11th season (2013 – present), and second NBA team (Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans).

He has averaged over 20 points per game for 8 straight seasons. CJ also won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award in 2016.

CJ is currently 32 years old, and probably winding down the prime of his career. He is now a veteran leader on a young Pelicans squad (featuring Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram) that will be looking to make some noise in the next couple of seasons.

🫡 El Presidente: CJ is the current president of the NBPA (National Basketball Players Association).

Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers

Donovan Mitchell, a.k.a. “Spida“, is one of the most dynamic, explosive scorers in the NBA today.

He once scored 71 points in an NBA game! This is the 9th highest total in NBA history.

Mitchell is currently in his 7th NBA season, and second team (Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers).

Some of his other NBA achievements include: 5x All-Star, All-NBA Second Team, All-Rookie First Team, Slam Dunk Contest Champ.

Mitchell has also averaged 20 or more points per game in every year of his career so far.

Mitchell is currently 27 years old, and in the prime of his career. He is already an elite offensive force, and we should be seeing much more of Spida in the years to come.
