Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

List of all current 7'0 NBA players, including Joel Embiid, KAT, and more.
“Trust the Process”

Joel Embiid, a.k.a. “The Process”, is the reigning MVP, and arguably the most dominant player currently in the NBA.

His size, and brute strength combined with his incredible shooting touch makes him as unguardable as any other player in the league.

Embiid is currently in his 8th NBA season (2016-present), all with the Philadelphia 76ers.

After a slow start to his career due to injuries, Embiid has been a force the last few seasons. He has also averaged over 20 points and 10 rebounds per game in every season of his career, except his rookie year.

Some of Embiid’s other NBA achievements include: MVP (2023), 6x All-Star, 4x All-NBA Team (1x First Team, 4x Second Team), 3x All-Defensive Second Team, 2x Scoring Champ, All-Rookie First Team (2017).

Embiid is currently 29 years old, and in the prime of his career. He should continue playing at an MVP level for at least the next few seasons. At this point, the only thing missing from Embiid’s resume, is an NBA championship.

Lauri Markkanen, Utah Jazz

“I’m the Finnisher”

Lauri Markkanen is probably the least talked about All-Star level player in the NBA.

The Finnish sniper is one of the best shooting big men in the league. He is currently in his 7th NBA season and 3rd team (Chicago, Cleveland, Utah).

After a promising first couple of years in the NBA, Markkanen’s career seemed to be trailing downwards. That was, until last season, when he broke out of his downward spiral and averaged over 25ppg for the Utah Jazz.

Some of Markkanen’s current NBA achievements include: All-Star (2023), Most Improved Player (2023), and All-Rookie First Team (2018).

Markkanen is still just 26 years old, and should be entering the prime of his career. Utah Jazz fans will hope he can continue his stellar play since joining the team.

🇫🇮 Markkanen is the best Finnish basketball player ever, and was also the first basketball player to ever win the Finnish Athlete of the Year (2023).

Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves

“It’s not my fault the Twolves have sucked, OK?”

Karl-Anthony Towns, a.k.a the “KAT“, is one of the most talented offensive big men in the league today.

His size combined with outside shooting, and scoring ability make him a tough matchup for most teams.

KAT is currently in his 9th NBA season, all with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He has averaged over 20 ppg every year of his career, except his rookie season (18.3ppg).

Some of his other NBA achievements include: 3x All-Star, 2x All-NBA Third Team, Rookie of the Year (2016), All-Rookie First Team, and 3-point Contest Champion (2022).

The main knock against Towns has been his lack of playoff / team success. The Wolves are good this year though, featuring Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert, so that may change.

Towns is still just 28 years old, and in the prime of his career. He should have at least a few more All-Star seasons left in him.
